Guess who back, back again

Hello, guess what, I'm free from exams! If you have sat exams I hope they went well for you and if you still have some to go then good luck. Just thought I would have a little catch up today, fancy a bit of a natter. I really do apologise if this turns into a lengthy, essay resembling type ramble. I don't even know where to begin, as far as my exams go I'm not too sure how they went to be honest, didn't go terribly but didn't go brilliantly. I'm definitely not going to worry about them though until results day is approaching, I'm just so happy to be free from any school work! It ended really nicely on Tuesday after my last exam as me and an old friend had a little date to Nandos (my first time!) followed by a trip to see the Lucky One at the pictures. It was such a good film, I'm a hopeless romantic so am a sucker for any love story with a happy ending, and for anyone who is in the Newcastle area you should try and get into the new studios at the Gate next time you visit, only 4 rows with big comfy chairs and a massive screen, made me feel like I was some VIP or something haha, easily impressed. The only bad thing about the end of exams is that we still have to go into school, to sit in lessons doing absolutely nothing! More than half the year have turned to skiving mind, I was the only one who turned up for psychology on Wednesday haha, bit embarrassing. I was definitely staying off today!

On another note, has anyone else got hold of Glamour magazine yet with their brilliant Benefit freebies? Although I slept in and was half an hour late for school yesterday I still made sure to stop at Sainsburys on the way and pick up all 3. They're offering either a mini bad gal mascara, that gal brightening primer or the porefessional in each magazine, at only £2 how can you resist, they're pretty decent minis too, perfect for travelling, and how cute is the packaging! I've only used bad gal before, I used it when I first bought it in April last year but stupidly stopped to try and use up some others. I've just started using it again and unfortunately it has totally dried out so I can't even remember if I like it or not but now I have another chance!

I've been thinking of what I want to add to this little blog of mine as I have more free time, I would love to do some more reviews and beauty product posts but I have a confession which is stopping me from doing this. I am OCD. Let me introduce you to my project pan.

So, basically, being the weird person that I am I refuse to throw away anything that is still usable, I just can't bring myself to do it! Because of this I have so much make up and nail polish that still remains in my life from years ago, I know that some of it is at least 6-7 years old which I know I know, is pretty disgusting but honestly, if a product doesn't smell funny, look funny or do horrible things to me then it's fine in my eyes. I briefly mentioned this in my second ever post (new years resolutions, oh yeah, remember those haha?) but basically that box in the top right contains all the make up I am aiming to use up, as well as 2 skincare items and the nail polish you can see are the ones I want to use up, there are a few hair care items too. I really don't understand how I'm going to use up some of the make up, for example, there are 2 lilac eye shadows in there and colours I cannot see myself wearing but hey ho, I've been on this for about a year and I'm still going. I just feel like I need to get all of that out of the way before I start a lovely new collection, and it really is killing me, I just want to go and splurge on make up but I am determined to at least get a little further than the disappointing 3 products I have used up from this 'project' this year (bottom right). Of course some freebies and gifts have been an exception but they have been housed in the little make up bag, the beginning of my new make up collection. I have split the products into groups of 10 at a time to make things a little more manageable so the photo in the top left shows my first 10; the body shop seaweed facial exfoliator and the mask (bought when I had oily skin, my skin is never my best friend when I use these now), a random nail strengthener and purple nail polish, tea tree concealer, random lipstick, natural collection vanilla lip gloss (looks minging I know, think this will be first to go!), random powder, blusher and eyeshadow. The majority of products that I am using are unbranded which is why I won't review them, totally pointless reviewing something that you can't get hold of! I must say, for crappy unbranded make up some of it has impressed me! Okay, so now you know that I am a crazy person.

As for what I'm upto, tonight three of us are having a little surprise party at mine for a friend's birthday so I'm looking forward to that! Next week is of course half term, with no school work I plan to totally relax and begin watching Made in Chelsea and 90210 from season 1. I just recently got into Made in Chelsea and I love it! I'm going to make the most of next week and spend lots of time with Lee and my friends too but now that exams have ended, the serious job hunt begins! Wish me luck! After half term we have work experience, I'm just off to a little primary school nearby, last time I went to John Lewis and worked in the beauty department and I have to say it was amazing! I worked on the Dior and YSL counter, getting my make up done for free at YSL and being surrounded by amazing products everyday. It was very formal though and I always had to put on a professional front so I'm looking forward to the more relaxed atmosphere of the school. However I very much doubt I will get an amazing gift like I did when I left John lewis; a Clinique wash bag full of perfume and skincare samples, it was heaven! Anyways, the weekend after that is what I am most looking forward too, me and Lee are of on our first little adventure together to Alton Towers for 2 days, so excited! We then have community week (working with projects in the community) and futures week (all about university etc) until reality begins again with the start of A2 lessons. Fortunately, that only lasts for 2 weeks then we are off for Summer! It is my birthday, holiday to Gran Canaria and trip to see Jessie J live within that time so I have lots to look forward too. I'm just loving life at the minute, it's all good. What are you looking forward too this year and if you're in year 12 what do you do after half term, just curious?

Okay, so I think that is it, if you have lasted until now then thank you. I promise this length of post won't happen too often haha, I just can't help but natter on when I'm writing to you all. I hope you didn't mind this post too much and I hope you have a lovely weekend!

Thank you once again for reading. Love,
Rachael xx

I can't throw away old things either unless they absolutely don't work for me. you just have to be careful with mascaras and liners :)
    keep up the good work!
