Wishing

1, 2, 3, 4, 5

You know that moment when you see something in a shop, pick it up and put it back for whatever reason, in this case the price, and then you can't stop thinking about it. This is what happened with the Topshop top, I don't know why I like it so much but I do. The same can also be said for the Stila convertible colour, I swatched one, loved the packaging, formula and shade but then I put it back and walked out of Boots. Unfortunately I can't remember what shade it was exactly but this product has definitely stuck in my mind. The Nuxe lip balm is a beauty product I have been after for a while after reading some rave reviews, my lips definitely struggle with major dryness! I really, really love the little boots, they're a little more interesting than my plain black Chelsea boots. Finally, with the lighter mornings and nights Spring is definitely on it's way and I think this jumper is the perfect colour. What is on your wishlist at the minute? Love,

Dear Santa...

Lets face it, we are well and truly into the most exciting time of the year, festive season is here and Christmas is only 29 DAYS away! HOW EXCITING! I thought I'd share my wishlist to Santa with you all:

001. The Converse are actually chilling on the floor in the dining room as we speak waiting to be tried and tested before being sent to Santa wrapped up and hidden in mam's wardrobe. The joys of knowing there is no Santa Claus, sad times. I have wanted some for ages so am looking forward to them making their way into my wardrobe at Christmas.

002. Let's be honest, who wouldn't love to wake up on Christmas morning to the Soap and Glory 'The Best Of All' set. I'm definitely not expecting this at the full £60 but hopefully Boots are nice enough to slash the price in the coming weeks as they did last year. If not, they do have some other great gift sets this year.

003. I want to start making my hair look a bit more, presentable should we say, which is why the Babyliss curling wand is up there as the one I have now is horrible to use, along with a Tangle Teezer, my hair gets so ridiculously knotty, causing brushing it to be a very painful experience so maybe one of these nifty little brushes can sort it right out.

004. As for the perfume, if you haven't had a sniff of Vera Wang's Princess Night then do so asap, every time I try it in a store I cannot stop sniffing at my wrist for the rest of the day, must look like a bit of a weirdo but it's so nice!

005. I'm currently trying to get the last out of my cleanser so what better time to try the much loved Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish? I found this cute little set containing 100ml of the cleanse and polish, a muslin cloth and a little instant boost skin tonic spritzer.

006. I think Yankee Candles have made it onto many Christmas lists this year, I haven't chose a certain scent, leaving that up to mother bear so hopefully she does well. I've just run out of my pink sands tea lights so could do with some more to fill my cute little holders and I do love the way the jars look.

007. Last but not least, a DVD or two always makes it onto my wishlist. Let's take a moment to ask why on earth I don't already own The Notebook, it's a classic tear jerker that I've seen many times yet I don't actually own the DVD. I didn't get to see The Vow when it was in cinemas but it looks like just my type of film, anything with Channing Tatum and Rachel McAdams floats my boat, if you've seen it, what did ya think?

Let's just remember this is just a wishlist, I'm definitely not saying I'm expecting everything on here.
What's on your Christmas list? Love,

Wishlist 5

001. How cosy does this Topshop jacket look, I spotted it on Sammi's wishlist and it soon appeared on mine! A bit of a boyish style but there's just something about it.
002. A/W is definitely the time for big snuggly oversized jumpers and hoodies. Not sure why I love this one so much but I do, I am a massive Disney fan after all! You can even get matching sweatpants, is that too far?
003. I love the colour of this blazer! Again, perfect for autumn. I really enjoy wearing my one and only blazer, they can definitely make things look that little bit more put together. I want one in every colour!
004. I've wanted an oversized shirt like this for ages, I love how they can be styled in so many ways yet still look casual and effortless. I'm really not sure if it'll suit me though, hmm.
005. I was desperate for the Topshop Chelsea boots last year because I love how they look, did they end up being mine? no, and I have no idea why. These are so similar though, I think I need them.
006. This necklace is on display at the front of my local New Look, making it more tempting each time I pass. It's the perfect way to dress up a plain outfit, who doesn't love a statement necklace!
007. Who doesn't want the new mirror ball collection from Model's Own? I think it's such a unique take on a normal glitter polish, a disco ball on my nails sounds good to me.
008. I love these shoes. I want these shoes. That is all.

Love,
Rachael xx

Wishlist 4

1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8

Hello, I'm back from Gran Canaria with a much needed wishlist. However, this ones looking a little dull and boring isn't it, you can definitely tell what season will be visiting us next due to the change in colour palette. I am secretly looking forward to autumn/winter though, the thought of layering clothes, snuggling in big hoodies, slurping hot chocolate and gazing out to the dark nights in front of the fire seems very appealing right now. I've been neglecting a lot of my clothing lately and opting for the basics in my collection as they can easily create an effortless, classy look. I think autumn/winter colours really add to the sophistication of a look too. Who do I think I am with all this talk of 'classy' and 'sophisticated' haha. My wardrobe is just waiting for every one of these items, it will sadly be waiting a while. There isn't too much to explain about my picks apart from saying I really love them all, I have been enjoying wearing my grey slouchy blazer so a cream one definitely deserves a place in my wardrobe and I chose the Topshop leigh jeans after hearing so much about them, I find it so hard to find jeans to fit my awkward sized body so I want to give these a go and they have an acid wash which is a bonus, they're something I've been after for a while. Number 4 was blogger influenced, what bloggers do to you eh, Lilly was wearing the white one in a recent post and I love how it looks. You may have noticed I took on the task of tweaking my blog design, I was never happy with it and am still not 100% but I know I never will be, I'm too stubborn to let anyone else do it though haha. I want my blog to be something I created. Please let me know what you think!

Thank you for reading. Love,
Rachael xx

Hello m'loves! I'll give you one guess what i'm obsessing over at the minute. Shoes and skincare I hear you say? Well how did you know that. Little bit of sarcasm thrown in there but yes, last time it was shorts and now shoes of the wedge and trainer variety as well as some skincare goodies are floating my boat.

1-5
So, I have a confession to make. I can't walk in heels. At all. It's to do with my weak ankles causing a silly inability to walk in heels without my feet collapsing inwards. It really is a bummer, but wedges are meant to be easier to walk in, I have no idea why I haven't bought some before! Probably because I don't have the occasions to wear them. Maybe on holiday but that's only once a year, the others are more suited to occasions or nights out which I am a stranger too. They're so pretty though and can make an outfit look much more put together, it's also one step towards being able to own beautiful heels, considering my ankles approve of wedges. I really love them all.

6-8
I'm also really liking the whole relaxed trainer look, not too sure about people trying to get Nike airs to sneak their way back into fashion but I have been fancying some Converse for a while, I've never been one for trainers to be honest and never thought I would be one to rock the Converse but I do like the way they look in every colour. I also spotted the Nike low vintage blazers on Office and really really like them, as for the mid blazers I love them also but they really do seem to be playing a game of hide and seek. I first spotted them on Asos in some nice colours but a few days later they had vanished, the odd colour pops up now and again but they're always sold out. The ones above I managed to track down on Very but once again, they're always sold out. If anyone knows where else I can find these please let me know, I know office do the high ones and I don't mind them but I much prefer the mid ones, trust me.

Lately, the world of blogging and You tube has recently placed many nice skin care treats into my little mind. I want to give my skin a treat and have a change from my usual skin care products which not a lot of thought goes into.

9-13
I have heard a few people talk about how much they love the beauty flash balm and the reviews sound great! If anything is going to make me look like I've had 12 hours sleep I'm up for giving it a go. I'm sure we have all heard of Bioderma and the great product that it is, I have always used facial wipes to remove my makeup but I think a liquid will be so much more gentle and the only one I seem to have heard of is Bioderma. Of course the Oilatum is down to Nic from Pixiwoo, my skin is normal but usually fluctuates between slightly oily and slightly dry. It has been more on the dry side for a while now so I think a more intensive moisturiser is needed. The vitamin E oil is down to Barbara after hearing how impressed she is with how it is working on acne scars. I have tried bio oil in the past but wasn't a fan of the greasiness, I have quite a bit of scarring which I would love to get rid off and it's meant to be good for stretch marks too. Another confession for you here, i'm just going to tell you because I know i'm not the only one, I have stretch marks, not just a few either, they are noticeable and I can't imagine being in a bikini this summer on holiday with them showing their faces so i'm desperate to get rid of them, if anyone has had any success with anything for stretch marks please let me know! Finally the Melvita rose extraordinary water was recommended to me by a lovely follower when I expressed my wants for some nice skincare, this really intrigued me, it sounds really nice!

I'm sorry for nattering on, I really can't help it! I have tried to cut it down yet there is still so much writing haha. Good job I didn't include the other few items that I was going to, they just didn't fit so I shall give them a little mention here; the 30 day shred, this Topshop jumper (it's love!) and the new Bourjois nail polish remover. What can I say, things just keep catching my eye, needs to stop! Anyways, I hope you have a lovely weekend, I'm off to do the wonderful job of cleaning my makeup brushes, such a chore. Hope you enjoyed this post.

Thanks for reading. Love,

Wishlist 2

Hello strangers. I'm back with a rather mixed wish list to give you all some eye candy in the form of beauty and clothing.

I love shorts. I really do. At the minute it's the denim studded variety that are at the centre of my obsession and the above were found at, in order of appearance *feeling like i'm presenting some kind of award right now*... River island via Asos, Reverse via Asos and Miss Selfridge. I must admit they are highly priced, the ones from Miss Selfridge are my favourite though, I must let you know that they look so much better in 'real life' and have studs down the sides too. One day these babies will be in my life. Keep dreaming Rach. As for the other clothing items floating around in my mind, I have wanted some acid wash jeans for a while now and these ones from River island are perfect. I'm not usually one for dresses, especially not the day dress but I love how cute and girly they look, I have just made my first 'dress suitable for daytime wear' purchase from New Look which you shall all see shortly but in the mean time this little red number from Topshop is just adorable, I really love it! Don't love the £64 price tag so much mind. For the next dress, picture walking along a tranquil beach without a care in the world with the sunset peacefully falling around you. Doesn't this dress from Miss Selfridge suit that perfectly? It's exactly what I thought of when I spotted it, i'm not sure how well it would suit my petite frame but of course, I love it.

Now for the beauty side of things, I am doing so well with my project pan as I haven't bought anything unnecessary and although it has been going on for what seems like forever I am still determined to use up all my old makeup before starting a whole new collection! However, I may make a naughty exception for the MAC lipstick that is hue, I don't own many lipsticks but this widely raved about beauty has previously been in my possession, unfortunately me being me it was left in my little pink bag in some theatre in New York along with my much loved Barry M toffee lipgloss. It really was devastating. I am coming close to having six empty containers so can't wait to do a bit of back to mac and have this lipstick back in my life. Also, of course I want to see if the Revlon lip butters really live up to the hype although I sadly haven't been able to find them yet in any of my local boots stores! As for the nail polishes I have come to the conclusion that I need would love a lilac shade in my collection, so perfect for spring and summer and the new beetlejuice shades from models own, to be released on Monday, have really caught my eye! They are so unusual and pretty. Last but certainly not least are the real techniques brushes by Samantha Chapman, one half of pixiwoo, I have been after trying brushes to apply my foundation for a while and the buffing brush is definitely well loved, i'm really looking forward to giving it a go. So, that is my current wishlist. What items are you lusting after right now?

I hope you enjoyed this post. Thanks for reading. Love,

Wishlist 1

Hello again lovelies, I'm currently lusting over a new piece of jewellery to add to my collection and here are a few I have my eye on, however my Christmas money is running low and I am in need of new trousers for sixth form so we shall see if one of these beautiful pieces does end up in my possession or if they remain in that little mind of mine. After seeing Gracie wearing her Casio so often I was enthralled by its beauty and knew that one day I had to have one but I also love the inspiring quotes on the Disney pieces and the meaning and simplicity of the others and well, the Vivienne Westwood earrings speak for themselves don't they. I'm not one to spend a lot on anything but for some reason I have recently neglected my ridiculous amount of inexpensive costume jewellery and began craving something more simple and classic even if, in some cases, that means spending a few extra £££. Maybe the Vivienne Westwood earrings are slightly out of my price range and I don't think I could justify £45 for such a simple necklace but I can dream can't I? Do you have a favourite piece of jewellery? Let me know!

I hope you have had a nice weekend, today consisted of drinking the most amazing hot chocolate and having a wander around my local shopping centre, not finding anything exciting. Now to spend the night with my lovely boyfriend. Thanks for reading. Love,
Rachael xx
